At px, we are committed to celebrating, uplifting and empowering women in the workplace. As March takes place, we proudly recap on the month we have dedicated to celebration, reflection and progress. Women's History Month and International Women's Day offer us the opportunity to honour the significant contributions that our women make to the business. This year, we celebrated with a series of impactful occasions raising funds to support charities focusing on women, walking to reinforce empowerment, providing a platform for our women, and continuing our corporate sponsorship for the Power of Women campaign. As we celebrate these efforts throughout March, we remain dedicated to supporting women's empowerment not just in March, but all year round.
Women's History Month and International Women's Day are observances that recognise the contributions and achievements of women across various fields. These events represent the progress made over the years while also highlighting the ongoing need to continue the movement. It has been stated by the World Economic Forum that according to data, it will take 2158, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity, reinforcing the significance of these events.
Empowering women enhances diversity and promotes balanced leadership, contributing to growth and strengthening company culture. Women's History Month and International Women's Day continue to serve as a reminder of the importance of gender equality everywhere, especially within the workplace. At px Group, we are guided by our ELITE values and a commitment to cultivating an environment where female leadership thrives.
At the px Stockton office, our commitment to women's empowerment was brought to life throughout March through a series of impactful events.
To begin, we kicked the month off with a bake sale that raised funds for the non-profit charity Dress for Success.
Dress for Success is a global non-profit organisation for unemployed and underemployed women dedicated to empowering women by providing no-fee career development, job skills preparedness, mentoring and coaching, financial education, and professional attire services to achieve economic self-independence.
To further our commitment, a large group of our px women made the most of the sun by participating in a collective walk in celebration of International Women's Day and Women's History Month.
Walking together symbolised women's empowerment and further demonstrated our commitment to fostering gender equality in every step we take.
Throughout the month, we also featured inspiring employee spotlights that showcased the personal journeys and achievements of some of our female colleagues. These stories provided authentic insights into our company culture, highlighting how we celebrate and empower women through their career journeys by encouraging continuous growth and career developments.
"I'm passionate about building meaningful connections with others, creating positive experiences, and ensuring smooth operations within the workplace. I approach life with a positive mindset, always seeking the silver lining in every challenge. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I'm dedicated to uncovering the purpose behind each experience. I strive to learn and grow every day, continuously working to improve myself."

Our commitment to women's empowerment goes beyond the celebrations of March. Throughout the year, we host online women's networking groups, creating a dynamic and supportive space where female professionals can connect, share experiences, and grow together.
As part of this ongoing initiative, our women's networking group looks forward to an in-person event at the end of the year, bringing together women from px offices across different locations to strengthen our community.
Last year’s event was particularly inspiring, with NEPIC's CEO, Joanne Fryett, joining us as a guest speaker to share her career journey and the challenges she has navigated in the business world. The session concluded with px Group CEO Geoff Holmes, who engaged in a Q&A, offering insights into his vision for inclusivity and reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting women’s development.
Geoff said:
"I am immensely proud of the strides we are making to foster inclusivity and empowerment within our organisation. The success of our women’s networking groups over the past 18 months underscores the value of connection and mutual support. Our first annual event, ‘Networking with Purpose', was a testament to the incredible women within our business.”
This continuous support is complemented by our third-year sponsorship of the Power of Women campaign, which reinforces our dedication to championing women’s empowerment every day.
As part of our ongoing dedication to championing women in the workplace, we are incredibly proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Power of Women campaign for the third year running. Supporting this campaign plays a vital role in amplifying women's voices, creating opportunities, and breaking down barriers in professional environments. Supporting the Power of Women aligns with our core ELITE values of leadership and empowerment, ensuring that women continue to thrive in our industry.

" We at px Group are committed to working in our local communities, so the decision to get involved in this campaign and support a local school was an easy one. We have a wide range of talented women in our business, and we hope to use this as a platform to inspire young people and raise awareness of opportunities in our region."
By fostering diversity and breaking down barriers today, we are helping to create a more equitable future for tomorrow's talent. Our efforts contribute towards a workplace where leaders are encouraged to grow, succeed, and excel.
